Style Week OC's Neiman Marcus Runway Show at Fashion Island

This season, Style Week OC kicked off with runway shows featuring looks from Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island. The shopping center presented two runway shows; one in the morning and one in the evening with almost all the same looks; the morning had more avante-garde styling which included the female models in oversized bob-style wigs, and in the evening the models wore slick back hair. The fashion trends that stood out for me were the luxurious fur pieces, bold colors like crimson red and hot pink, kitschy clutches and menswear inspired tailoring. 2015 Harvesters Fashion Show & Luncheon ($500 Giveaway Inside)

The 23rd Annual Harvesters Fashion Show & Luncheon is coming up. On October 7, Harvesters and South Coast Plaza will present the season�s coveted fashion trends as well as raise awareness and funds for the Irvine-based Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. The event will take place at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts (Costa Mesa, CA); beginning with a premium silent auction and Jaeger-LeCoultre Champagne reception; followed by a runway show produced by South Coast Plaza and featuring fall/winter 2015 collections from luxury brands Barbara Bui, Fendi, Lanvin, Marni, Max Mara, Moncler, Oscar de la Renta, Ralph Lauren, Roberto Cavalli, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino and Versace; and ending with a luncheon.

Although Orange County is one of the most affluent areas of the nation, one in five Orange County children is at risk of being hungry but having little to no access to regular meals. Hunger affects the most vulnerable populations, including seniors, children, the working poor, the unemployed, and the homeless.One hundred percent of proceeds go directly to breaking the cycle of hunger and despair in Orange County. This annual event has generated more than $5.5 million for Second Harvest, helping to feed hundreds of thousands of people over the past 23 years.

It's the time of year again, I'm not talking about back to school, but Style Week OC at Fashion Island, Irvine Spectrum, and Tustin Market Place. This year it is taking place September 10-19 with an exciting roster of fashion shows, beauty and style events, and in-store shopping parties. Mila Hermanovski's FW15 Collection at LA Fashion Council

Designer Mila Hermanovski�s Fall/Winter 2015 line, Frequency, shown at LA Fashion Council was filled with urban street-chic designs. I enjoyed the intricate panel details on the tops, draping outerwear, dresses, and leggings. The line is related to the fast-paced lifestyle we have in big cities, and also to the ath-leisure trend we�re currently seeing. This came through in the fabrics used, like the spacer mesh and quilted paneling in the leggings. Silhouettes were very signature for Mila�s style, featuring mostly black colors with fabric and texture variations. All in all, the collection was high quality at an advanced contemporary price point. You may recognize Mila from the hit reality-tv show Project Runway, in which she was apart of and designed for a few seasons and received numerous accolades. See more about her label here.

GQ & Glamour Magazine's Lookbook Live Event at the Shops at Mission Viejo

Happy Weekend! I'm currently on my way to Palm Springs, then Stagecoach with Alyssa from Living in Style OC! I'm super excited that Swim Spot has sponsored us to go! I wanted to share this event that I attended last Saturday in which GQ and Glamour Magazine hosted 'Lookbook Live', a spring fashion event at our very own Shops at Mission Viejo, go south county OC! Guests got to 'make a date with style' by enjoying date-themed Style Closets filled with different Spring looks for men and women, provided by the stores within the shopping center; complimentary beauty applications, stage fashion shows and style challenges; a photo booth; refreshments and giveaway opportunities.

Aside from having great Spring styles to choose from, style experts were providing one-on-one consultations. LOOKBOOK Live and The Shops at Mission Viejo partnered with Mission Hospital to honor four breast cancer survivors with a new head-to-toe look, including an outfit, hair and makeup makeover, courtesy of the center. The presentation is meant to bring awareness to the 13th annual Think Pink Breast Health Wall of Honor that will be displayed this October at The Shops at Mission Viejo. Each year, shoppers have the opportunity to honor or remember a loved one by donating $25 to place a hand-written card on the Wall of Honor. Donations to underwrite the cost of a mammogram or diagnostic procedure ($100) for someone who could not otherwise afford it, are also encouraged.
