Banana Republic Chambray & AYR Denim

I enjoy mixing denim on denim and this look styles a Banana Republic Denim-Looking Chambray Button Down with a pair of AYR wax-coated black jeans. I just love the sheen from the jeans which pairs well with the chambray top which also has a kind of sheen to it. The blazer thrown over the shoulder pull the look together with sophistication. I accessorized with a simple bar necklace from Constance Gold! Photos were shot by the lovely Shawna from Bleudog Fotography, you can see the last blazer styled look here.

Sudara's Prema Punjammies for Spring 15

I love the combo of the denim shirt and the hot pink bottoms, it just instantly brightens my day. This look is from Sudara's SS15 Collection Lookbook shoot featuring their Punjammies bottoms; I specifically wore the Prema Full Pant and Hailey wore the Nagavani Capri. I just love that these new Punjammies styles can be styled with different washes of denim tops and lace and crochet pieces for the perfect Spring look. Shop the rest of the collection here!

Triple Thread OC Tiger Top and Levi's Boyfriend Jeans

I just started a partnership with OC-based boutique, Triple Thread OC, and was excited to receive my first bundle of items last week which included this amazing tiger-printed top (which is so ridiculously velvet-y soft). As apart of a blazer & jeans story I'm currently writing for eHOW, I styled the blazer and top with a pair of my all-time favorite boyfriend cut jeans, the Levi's 501 CT in Torn Indigo (which I had received in my #BLOGCHELLA Survival Kit) and a classic pair of high-top Converse Chucks. More snaps coming from my photographer partner, Shawna of Bleudog Fotography!Photos taken by Bleudog Fotography

Behind the Scenes for Sudara SS15

Did you read that the International Princess Project relaunched as Sudara this past month? I'll be posting photos from the Spring/Summer 2015 shoot that I got to model for, but before that wanted to share a few behind-the-scenes shots. HAPPY WEDNESDAY!

Blue Ombre with Conway Grooming, Costa Mesa

You may have noticed that sometime in the past couple of weeks, my ombre went from blonde to blue and I'm absolutely in love with the change. Don't get me wrong, I was obsessed with my blonde ombre which took me about 8 months (you can see here and here) to achieve the look I had desired; but I was ready for a somewhat drastic and edgier change.

When my friend Casie of Conway Grooming contacted me about changing up my hair, I knew I couldn't refuse; she is the queen of coloring hair with colorful dyes. We discussed going grey, blue, or purple, and settled on a mixture of grey (titanium), sapphire blue, and a touch of indigo. Before being able to dye my hair a fun color, Casie had to bayalage my current ombre to lighten it up (oh the woes of having dark hair).

I love that Casie is based out of downtown Costa Mesa right near where the freeway ends on the way to Newport Beach. She is currently working from salon suite #18 at Sola Salons, and it is just the darn cutest nook to be doing hair out of. There's just enough space where it doesn't seem cramped or too open. Casie immediately welcomed me and asked if I wanted a refreshment, so I selected a soda beverage. A plus in my book is that there's wifi available, so I was able to get some work done while she did my hair.

The entire process took approximately 6 hours which included bayalaging my hair (lightening, washing and drying), dying the various colors (applying fashion colors to my ombre, drying and washing), and then a cut and style (a couple inches to keep my ends healthy and a blow out).

I have had nothing but compliments and I am just so glad I dove for a switch up like this! The color of my hair photographs really well, and it's always interesting to see all the various hues show up in under the sunlight. If you're looking for any kind of color change, change-up, or haircut/style, you need to visit Casie! See her entire service menu here! Also stay tuned for some fun tutorial videos with Casie!

Mila Hermanovski's FW15 Collection at LA Fashion Council

Designer Mila Hermanovskis Fall/Winter 2015 line, Frequency, shown at LA Fashion Council was filled with urban street-chic designs. I enjoyed the intricate panel details on the tops, draping outerwear, dresses, and leggings. The line is related to the fast-paced lifestyle we have in big cities, and also to the ath-leisure trend were currently seeing. This came through in the fabrics used, like the spacer mesh and quilted paneling in the leggings. Silhouettes were very signature for Milas style, featuring mostly black colors with fabric and texture variations. All in all, the collection was high quality at an advanced contemporary price point. You may recognize Mila from the hit reality-tv show Project Runway, in which she was apart of and designed for a few seasons and received numerous accolades. See more about her label here.

VSA Design's Piccolo Collection

Jewelry label Virgins Saints and Angels asked me to stop by their LA showroom to check out their newest collection, Piccolo, featuring LA Blogger, Ruby Element! I even got to chat with designer Cheryl 'Finn' Finnegan about the current and upcoming collections as well as try on a few, or maybe many pieces. Piccolo features a selection of dainty San Benito Lucia pendant necklaces, rings, and cuff designs, and the Lucia Charm Necklace is currently available at Nordstrom.com!
Designer Finn was such a pleasure to get to know; her designs are very bold and have an almost 'gothic' look to them, all influenced by the culture of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico where she currently resides. VSA has been seen on countless celebrities, one being Britney Spears who rocked a VSA belt buckle back in 2004, thus launching the brand into stardom. Discover more about VSA here!
