Glamour Bride for Swell Beauty

I wanted to share a collection of photos from when I modeled as a 'Glamour Bride' for Swell Beauty. Of course, my fabulous hair which excellently showcased my ombre (that I had at the time) was done by the Swell Beauty team, I wore a stunning one shoulder embellished gown from Mon Amie Bridal, and was adorned in various exquisite Dvnchi headpieces. There were also two other models that were photographed that day and I styled their bridal looks which I will share soon as well as posts on the Swell Beauty blog on each look. All photographs were taken by one of my fave photogs, Shawna of Bleudog Fotography.

Wearing a Dress with Converse Chucks

While working on a story for eHOW.com, I had to compile various ways to wear white (article being published soon and I'll share it on FFF), here is the first and simplest look. This Forever 21 Side-Slit Midi Dress is lightweight and comfy, but looks put together with it's modernist silhouette. It is the perfect dress to throw on when you don't want to have to think about what to wear and when it's blazing hot (which is what I will be experiencing in Vegas this weekend). I can wear these with sneaks like these classic Converse chucks or with a beige or tan sandal or wedge.

This dress also creates a blank canvas to accessorize with a statement piece or a layering of dainty necklaces; you can also stick with the simplistic style by donning simple arm or wrist cuffs. This dress is available in black or white, and there's also a similar version in grey. Can I tell you that I want all the colors and I'm currently obsessing over the high side slit trend right now, I also just picked up this t-shirt from F21 with side slits.

All photos were taken by my good friend Renee Rogers; you can check out all the work we have done together here, and her blog Hanger Shortage here

Hello Kitty Cafe Truck at the Irvine Spectrum Center on 5/23

After my younger brother's graduation BBQ this past Saturday, I still had time to run over to the Irvine Spectrum to stop by the Hello Kitty Cafe Truck to grab some treats with my friend Jen and boyfriend Scott. The truck had been posted up since 10am in front of the Giant Ferris Wheel (which is currently being renovated, but I've seen the new lights at night and they look phenomenal) and serving up Hello Kitty sweets until 9pm. The lemonade had sold old by the time we got there, but Jen got macarons and donuts and Scott and I picked up donuts. If you live in the OC, did you stop by the Hello Kitty truck? Visit the HK Cafe Truck's page and social media handles to see where they will be traveling next!

A fan of Hello Kitty? Check out my experience at the Hello Kitty exhibit at the Japanese American National Museum.

As well, this Saturday 5/30, the Fashion Island Shopping Center in Newport Beach will be hosting a Saturday Style Pop-Up from 2-4pm in which the stores Seafolly, Trina Turk, and Rebecca Taylor will have in-store activities and shopping incentives. I won't be able to stop by for the fashion fun because I'll be in Vegas for the weekend, but if you can make it definitely stop by!

Spring 2015 Wedding Style in DTLA

I recently attended my Tri Delta Lil Sis's wedding and reception at the beautiful Oviatt Penthouse in Downtown Los Angeles and wanted to share my wedding style. I didn't want to wear a gown or maxi-length dress, so I chose this beautiful sky blue colored dress that had a very lady like neckline, 3/4 sleeves, a-line skirt and pocket detail.

Baroni Jewelry Custom Necklace Giveaway

Baroni Designs creates beautiful and intricate jewelry, and I'm fortunate enough to have gotten to customize my own necklace as well as a bar bracelet, and I will be giving TWO lucky winners their choice of a Baroni chain and two charms as apart of FFF's 4-Year Blog Anniversary giveaway series.

Founded by artist and designer Sarah Baroni in 1991, Baroni has been dedicated to and pouring her passion into creating jewelry designs that reflect the human spirit, intellect and body; and doing so with a 'green' business in order to practice sustainability to support her local community and the planet. I haven't added a charm necklace to collection for awhile and wanted to make my newest addition of Baroni charms extra special. I wanted the charms to be a daily reminder to keep being me, my authentic self; to follow my dreams; and work hard. Upon opening the package, I fell in love with the impeccable presentation and care of my jewelry pieces. After peeling away the metallic silver wrapping paper and bubble wrap which protected my jewelry, I found that each piece was individually wrapped in either a beautiful cloth envelope or jewelry box and sealed in a poly bag with a tarnish strip. Here are the pieces I selected:

Personalized Bar Bracelet in gold with customization 'my heart' text
Saturn Chain (24k Gold Plated) 22-24"
Petite Gold Initial in letter 'A'
Petite Silver Initial in Letter 'S'
Dual Tone Heart Charm
Large Personalized Square in gold with customization 'AMANDA' text
Large Personalized Circle in silver with customization 'dreamer' text
Long Personalized Rectangle in gold with customization 'do work' text

For a limited time, use code blogsave20 and receive 20$ off your Baroni purchase!
