Fall Vintage Style with Glory Vintage Goods in Long Beach

If you don't have the budget for a fall shopping spree, try thrift and vintage shopping to add a unique piece of clothing or accessory to style with the rest of your wardrobe this season. Or if you're looking to revamp your wardrobe and want to create a signature look, go on a hunt for vintage pieces that everyone else you know won't be wearing. Glory Vintage Goods has an amazing variety of vintage pieces that are on trend due to the retro styles that continually emerge in today's pop culture fashion trends. In this Glory Vintage Goods shoot I modeled for, different vintage pieces were styled with each other to create stand-out looks with that retro vibe.

Las Bayadas Mexican Beach Blanket

I am still holding onto Summer, it's kind of hard to move on to Autumn when the weather allows you to enjoy the beach and pool leading up to November. You may have seen that I featured this amazing beach blanket in a previous post shot at The Lab; and I'm excited to share it again featuring some poolside lounging. Las Bayadas is based out of  Sayulita, Mexico, the blankets were created by a husband and wife duo that fell in love with and were inspired by the Mexican blankets that adorned houses, and they wanted to turn that into a beach towel. Since the environment is very important to them, they work with a firm that provides recycled towels so that Las Bayadas blankets are eco-friendly. As well, the company is committed to the community by donating 10% of the profits of each towel sold to its eco-friendly partner, the Costa Verde International School, to support a scholarship program for its local green" Mexican students. Printed Fanny Pack

Yes, you read right, I am absolutely rockin' the fanny pack. It's always a trip to see trends recycle and how they are given a present day twist. I remember growing up with fanny packs in neon colors, or if you wanted a more 'timeless' look, you wore a leather one. Now, with so many trends and style inspirations at our fingertips and surrounding us in mainstream media, styles such as the fanny pack are making a comeback seamlessly. I found this aztec-inspired printed fanny pack from Forever 21 (and it was on sale too, score!). Unfortunately I couldn't find the style online to link to it, but I found this similar style. What trends are you seeing come back around that you're excited to wear again, or try?!

DIPTYQUE LA COLLECTION 34

GUYS.....words can not even begin to describe my new obsession for Diptyque. Aside from all of the oodles of yummy scents, I was taken back by the meticulous thought and inspiration behind each scent, perfume bottle, candle holder, diffuser, and everything in between. I visited the South Coast Plaza location with Cassydy and Alyssa and was given an in-depth look at the recently launched La Collection 34 by store manager Justin. I'm pretty sure I spent a couple hours in the store snapping photos and smelling EVERYTHING. Diptyque originates from 34 boulevard Saint-Germain in Paris, with three friends that brought together a plethora of creative and artistic knowledge, vision and passion to create a unique home furnishing store which has grown into the iconic perfumeur it is today (but still holds on to it's artistic and eclectic beginnings). From the craftsmanship of the glass perfume bottles and candle jars, to the selection of the perfume ingredients, oval labels and store displays, wallpaper, and product wrapping; Diptyque is truly a unique and luxe experience from storefront to home. Watch FFF's youtube video below to see what I took home from Diptyque.

Trends for Fall 2015 Fashion in OC

I'm breaking into the Fall 2015 season with new hair! Since I let my hair completely fade and was looking for a new look, I decided to try dark indigo and rich magenta colors. I was worried that it may turn out too bright, but the colors came out dark and vibrant enough.
Staying on trend, I ordered this lace up long sleeve top and denim button front skirt since I had been seeing it EVERYWHERE. Also, a girl can never have too many hats, so I was excited to add this statement fedora hat to my wardrobe, although it was a little awkward fitting (which I believe is due to how it was shipped in a soft bag instead of a box to keep its shape).
I received the most amazing Mexican beach blankets from Las Bayadas, and since I couldn't hit up the beach, I took one of my blankets to The Lab in Costa Mesa for post-lunch (with babe Renee who also took these photos) lounging. Not only do the towels have beautiful stripe patterns, they are made from recycled towels and the company gives back by donating 10% of the profits of each towel sold to its eco-friendly partner, the Costa Verde International School, to support a scholarship program for its local green" Mexican students. The blankets are huge, soft, and kept me warm when I took it out to the field to watch an evening soccer game.
To sum it up for entering this fall season in Orange County/Southern California, you need a fabulous hat for fall (once it starts to cool down); if you have the option to dye your hair try a new color in the dark pinks, purples, and blues family; retro elements such as the round sunglasses, lace up top and button down skirt front  are more popular than ever; and grab yourself an amazing blanket towel to lay out at the beach, poolside, or wrap around you when it's chillier.
