Las Bayadas Mexican Beach Blanket

I am still holding onto Summer, it's kind of hard to move on to Autumn when the weather allows you to enjoy the beach and pool leading up to November. You may have seen that I featured this amazing beach blanket in a previous post shot at The Lab; and I'm excited to share it again featuring some poolside lounging. Las Bayadas is based out of  Sayulita, Mexico, the blankets were created by a husband and wife duo that fell in love with and were inspired by the Mexican blankets that adorned houses, and they wanted to turn that into a beach towel. Since the environment is very important to them, they work with a firm that provides recycled towels so that Las Bayadas blankets are eco-friendly. As well, the company is committed to the community by donating 10% of the profits of each towel sold to its eco-friendly partner, the Costa Verde International School, to support a scholarship program for its local �green" Mexican students. Kiehl's LifeRide 2015

Kimberly and I stopped into Kiehl's South Coast Plaza to celebrate and support the Riders of LifeRide, benefiting amfAR Aids Research. The LifeRiders have traveled by motorcycle more than 18,000 miles the past 6 years to support amfAR's effort to find a cure for AIDS/HIV; and Kiehl's has donated $1,200,00 to amfAR since 2015....wow! The South Coast location had an awesome display featuring the limited edition Ultimate Strength Hand Salve, as well as refreshments from Z'Tejas, Fiji Water and Rebull, and an awesome motorcycle to take pics in front of. LifeRiders Chris Salgardo, Kevin Robert Frost, Kristy Swanson, Jay Ellis, Teddy Sears, Vanessa Marcil, Ben Cohen, Conrad Leach, and Grant Reynolds were in attendance as well as Miss California, Natasha Martinez! Of course, Kimberly and I tested a bunch of products in the store, she has used Kiehl's more frequently than I, and I was quite excited to take home a bag of Kiehl's goodies to try which I can't wait to share with you! Purpose Jewelry's Buy One Gift One Bangles Campaign

Starting today, 8/11 through 8/18, Purpose Jewelry is running their Buy One, Gift One campaign. Anytime a customer purchases the bangles bracelet, they can gift one completely for free to a friend of their choice (the bangles set is available in silver and brass)! Summer Purpose Trunk Show at Wayfare HQ in Costa Mesa

iSancutary hosted their Summer Purpose Trunk Show last night at Wayfare HQ in Costa Mesa. Guests enjoyed live music while shopping Purpose Jewelry's Classic and Summer Collections as well as a 'Last Chance' section. Refreshing beverages and People Water were available, and Best Coast Creamery sold their artisanal ice cream.
Founder Stephanie Pollaro led a DIY jewelry making sesh so I got to make a beaded tassel bracelet. All the attendees also got to view a special video featuring the women behind Purpose Jewelry and how the Sanctuary in Mumbai has and continues to help them create a new and better life.
