To play off the prism print of my Pink Floyd inspired boxy tank from Lyric Culture, I wore Celebrity Pink Jean's red skinny jeans for a vibrant pop of color. Renee had the idea to shoot this look against a stark white background for a bold effect. The tank's 'Dark Side of the Moon' album print has a vintage-like quality to it and the sides of the tank feature caged straps for a more youthful look. I wore a grey bralette underneath to tie in the faded grey print, as well as various Raptor Jewelry cuffs and rings too add personality and give a boho flair. Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album was a US number 1 ranked album, remaining on the Billboard chart for more than fourteen years, and selling more than 40 million copies worldwide.
South Coast Plaza hosted their Live the Look Fall Fashion Show with Rachel Zoe curating the designer looks last week. I wanted to go for a sophisticated, chic 'I'm a fashion editor' look with a hint of glam. I picked up a simple, tan body-hugging midi dress, and added a black fur shawl over it which I belted with a metal gold belt at the waist. I finished the look with black heels and a burgundy clutch to bring in some color. Belting a shawl or scarf over a simple dress or jumper is a great way to change up the look of the garment, and also looks effortless styled. This season, Style Week OC kicked off with runway shows featuring looks from Neiman Marcus, Fashion Island. The shopping center presented two runway shows; one in the morning and one in the evening with almost all the same looks; the morning had more avante-garde styling which included the female models in oversized bob-style wigs, and in the evening the models wore slick back hair. The fashion trends that stood out for me were the luxurious fur pieces, bold colors like crimson red and hot pink, kitschy clutches and menswear inspired tailoring. The Ritz Prime Seafood Restaurant will re-open it's doors on the Newport Beach Waterfront to the public on the evening of Monday October 12, 2015 to reveal the revamped, "Ritz" with an evolved fine dining experience, while still honoring the history and the original Ritz. Guests can enjoy an artfully curated menu including fresh selections from the raw bar, including oysters, seafood, and a large scale cocktail bar.
While dining during a rehearsal dinner service at the Ritz Prime with Vincent last week, we were taken back by the impeccable plating as well as the marriage of flavors in each dish. We also were enraptured with the design elements of the restaurant and harbor view; the bossa nova-style music playing in the background created an almost romantic and mysterious ambiance. We heard that the new design and dining experience is quite the departure from the previous 'Ritz Restaurant' which offered a traditional supper-club feel. We really enjoyed taken every bit of the restaurant in, and had the best time.
My suggestions would be the Pork Belly Confit (it literally melts in your mouth), Red Miso Cod, and the Perfect Storm Cocktail. The restaurant will also offer a Champagne Bar, Bloody Mary Bar Cart manned by a master mixologist during weekend brunch service, therefore, I most definitely have to come back to experience brunch. Come into the The Ritz Prime Seafood to experience a elegant and modern place, where innovative and classic food gastronomy and drink and cocktail mixology converge.

I found this simple nude dress from Forever 21 which I knew would be perfect for the dusty hues of the Moroccan-inspired surroundings of mine and Renee's boutique hotel in Palm Springs. To add details to the dress, I layered Raptor Jewelry silver necklaces and rings with pops of turquoise which perfectly stood out against the nude dress. To add oomph to a simple dress you have in your closet, play around with layering dainty or chunky necklaces, bracelets & cuffs, earrings and rings. Make a statement with Lyric Culture's song lyrics tees and tanks. This 'Free Bird' faux suede tank is inspired by Lynyrd Skynyrd's song Free Bird. The song was originally released in 1973 and is on Rolling Stone's 500 greatest songs of all time. I gave the tank a desert-wanderer look by styling a wide fedora hat, cut off shorts, and booties; as I was on an adventure in Palm Springs with Renee when we shot this, so the setting (and weather) was quite fitting. As the lyrics evoke a sense of departure, spreading ones wings and and being free because sometimes you just can't help being who you are or having the deepest desire to travel and be consumed with wanderlust.
If I leave here tomorrow Would you still remember me? For I must be travelling on, now, cause there's too many places Ive got to see. But, if I stayed here with you, girl, Things just couldn't be the same. cause I'm as free as a bird now, And this bird you can not change. Lord knows, I cant change.
